“I love any and everything that is related to creativity and self-expression!  I have a very open approach when it comes to creating.  Everything should be seen as achieving the goals of the project, as well as creating a piece of artwork.  When creating a piece that is ultimately seen in the digital world, I start with sketches, and move through various stages using various non-technological mediums.  In the end, all of these mediums can be seen digitally, but they also feel more “real” because they coexist as traditional and digital art.

I hope to one day create my own paper line that can be used for both traditional and non-traditional scrapbookers and artists.

My latest project has been to design and create the WKU AD+PR Senior Show website.”

“My name is Lacey, and my original hometown is Henderson, Kentucky. My Bachelors of Arts will be in advertising, with an emphasis in creative interactive and creative print and a minor in graphic design.

As a student, I worked 2+ years as the graphic designer in a non-profit arts and theatre organization in historic downtown Bowling Green called the Capitol Arts Alliance.

I consider myself very hard-working, and I love to learn.  My favorite thing about creating is when you just happen upon ideas at random times.

“I love art, fashion, and beautiful design. I’m inspired by the Post-Impressionist paintings and sketches of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, surrealism works of René Magritte, multimedia pieces of Wangechi Mutu, and the old advertisements of René Gruau and Alphonse Mucha. I also love the fashion of Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Dior, Oscar de la Renta, and Valentino to name a few.

“Drawing has always been a part of my life, but I didn’t know then how it would help me today.  Being able to bridge that gap between the imagination and the real world is what’s important to me as an artist.
